Historical Research

These are a few of the images that have inspired me the most. I like the classical Grecian look that was popular between 1800 and 1803. After that decoration evolved in to a more eastern exotic look, with Egyptian influences.

Fabrics used at the time were fine lawn, muslin or batiste. Muslin was more common than silk as it wasn't quite as expensive. White gowns were worn in the evening and soft pastel colours were worn during the day.
